Yolk was created to change the way people think about and use sunscreen. Founders Adele and Simon, who grew up as pale-skinned surf groms on Australia’s west coast, understand the challenges of sun exposure all too well. They remember childhoods full of cracked lips, peeling ears, and sunburned noses, and now they’re dealing with the long-term effects of sun damage and skin cancers. When their two whipper snappers arrived – the palest lil humans – daily sunscreen application became even more important, and even more difficult. The smell, texture and sense of it being a chore was overwhelming. So they set about developing a sunscreen that people actually want to wear!

Yolk believes that wearing sunscreen should be an enjoyable experience so that it becomes a daily habit, allowing everyone to benefit from consistent sun protection.
